Required Documents for Trademark Registration Application
While applying for Trademark Registration in Turkey, the documents which are required by the application provision of trademark legislative decree No. 556 must be completed. As is known, a brand can be registered on a person as well as it can be registered on an organization or a company. One or more person as well as one company or more than one organization, through consortium between companies, can share a brand. For this ownership, certain documents required by regulations must be completed.
If the brand will belong to one or more person, their credentials, addresses, phone numbers are needed; and if the application will be made with a Trademark Attorney who is an official member of TPE (Turkish Patent Institute), a proxy statement for the brand must be completed. If the brand is a shared entity, all of the co-owners must sign on the proxy statement. If the brand has a logo or a marker, copies of those must be included with the documents.
If the trademark application is considered to be made with a company/organization or with a combination of a company and an organization; a commercial registration document showing the company’s headquarter, tax number, the name of the tax office and a copy of the company’s operating certificate must be included with the documents. In addition, if the brand has a logo or a figural marker, copies of those must be included with the documents.

If the Owner of the Trademark Application is a Legal Entity (Company or organization, etc.):
- Operating certificate
- Tax certificate
- Proxy statement (if available)
- Sample of brand (logo, marker, etc.)
