Industrial design registration protection is 5 years, and this 5 year protection can be renewed every 5 years up to 25 years.
In Turkey the industrial design registered renewal period begins within 6 months prior to the 5 year end date of the design protection application and continues until the last day of the protection date. If this period is missed, there is also the possibility to renew the registration within 6 months after the expiration date. However, it is recommended that a timely renewal be made in terms of both wage increase and design registration protection.
