Bu buluş, biyopolimer temelli bir sensörün geliştirilmesine ait bir yöntem ile ilgilidir. Bubuluş kapsamında, sensör yüzeyi olarak tercihen karbon elektrotlar kullanılmakta,biyouyumlu bir yüzey oluşturmak için ise tercihen karbonhidrat temelli bir biyopolimer kullanılmaktadır. Sensör platformunun karbonhidrat polimeri ile modifikasyonu sayesinde, nükleik asit, ilaç ve nükleik asit-ilaç etkileşimlerinin hassas bir şekilde ve kısa sürede analizleri gerçekleştirebilecek biyouyumlu bir yüzey elde edilebilmiştir.
