What is industrial design monitoring. Design monitoring is the process where industrial design applications in Turkey are registered without a novelty or distinctiveness examination. TÜRKPATENT (the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office) runs only a formal examination before filing and publication. For that reason, if the similar or close applications listed in the monthly design bulletin are not opposed in time, the application moves through to registration.
