Trademark Registration Fee

How to Pay Trademark Registration Fees

How to Pay Trademark Registration Fees

To answer this question, correct planning for trademark registration fees is essential. First, the type of trademark is a major factor. Whether the mark is an ordinary, well-known, or collective mark changes the fee due during registration. A registration for a distinctive mark or one with a broader scope usually incurs a higher fee.

The number of trademark classes is another key factor. Under the International Nice Classification, a trademark can be registered in different classes for various goods and services. Each additional class requires an extra fee. Trademark owners should carefully consider how many classes they will register. This helps manage the budget more effectively.

The application method also significantly affects the fees. Online application procedures generally cost less, and using this method can offer certain discounts. Applications made with physical documents involve additional processing and bureaucratic steps, which can lead to higher costs. For this reason, the choice of application method should be evaluated carefully during the trademark registration process.

Finally, to get current information on trademark registration fees, it is important to get help from a Sistem Patent trademark agent. Following the trademark registration process and reducing risk with a thorough trademark search is vital. This also plays a critical role in managing your budget effectively.

If you wish to work with us to pay trademark registration fees, you can do so via the online payment page through a Sistem Patent trademark agent. For individual trademark applications, payment is made through the official channels determined by TÜRKPATENT (the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office). The following steps are followed:

1. Preparing the Trademark Application

First, check if your trademark name is unique. You can do this for free on Sistem Patent's trademark search page.

You can make the application via e-Government or EPATS (Electronic Patent and Trademark System). Alternatively, you can also apply via the online payment page with a Sistem Patent trademark agent.

Here is the step-by-step trademark registration fee payment process as of 2025:

1. Online Payment: Payment can be made via credit card or bank card on TÜRKPATENT's official website. During the payment process, the system calculates the required payment amount and lists the fees. Here are the steps to follow:

  • Log in to the TÜRKPATENT Online Transactions System with your e-Government password.
  • Go to the "Fee Transactions / Payment" menu.
  • Select the application type → "Trademark Application Fee" or "Registration Certificate Fee".
  • The amount is calculated automatically (e.g., 2,820 TL or 7,010 TL).
  • Payment can be made via credit card or virtual POS.
  • The system gives you an automatic payment receipt (PDF) → keep this.

2. Bank Transfer or EFT: The fee can be deposited via transfer or EFT to a specific bank account. After payment is made, a document confirming payment to TÜRKPATENT must be submitted along with the payment receipt and slip.

  • TÜRKPATENT Official Account (Ziraat Bankasi)
  • Bank: T.C. Ziraat Bankasi / Ankara Kurumsal Sube
  • IBAN: TR24 0001 0025 0667 3514 8650 01
  • Recipient: Türk Patent ve Marka Kurumu
  • Description: "Trademark application no + Trademark registration fee" must be written.

NOTE: If the application number is not written in the transfer description, the payment may be considered invalid.

3. Bank Branch: You can go to the relevant bank branch to make the payment and must obtain a payment receipt documenting that the application has been received. This receipt must be submitted to TÜRKPATENT during the application.

  • After payment is made, the system usually confirms it on the same day.
  • If you made the payment via bank, you need to upload the receipt to the EPATS system.
  • After confirmation, the trademark registration process officially begins.

4. Registration Certificate Fee (After Approval)

If your trademark application is accepted, you will receive a notification for the "Registration Certificate Issuance Fee" (7,010 TL for 2026). This is paid in the same way:

  • Via the online system or
  • Through Ziraat Bank.

If you are working with Sistem Patent, payment is provided via Online Payment. We handle all necessary procedures on your behalf and keep you informed about the processes.
