What Happens If You Don't Pay the Trademark Application Fee?

If the trademark application fee is not paid, applications made this way are not considered valid. Without payment, the application is not processed or is canceled. According to TÜRKPATENT (the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office) regulations, if the trademark application fee is not paid, the application is deemed not to have been made. Even if you create the application in the system:

• Your application is not valid if the official fee is not paid.
• The process does not start, even if an application number is obtained.
• The trademark is not examined.
• The protection process for the trademark does not begin.

Without payment, it is as if the trademark was never applied for. Others can apply for this trademark.
