What Qualifies for a Patent?
Patent protection is granted to certain types of inventions that are innovative and original. Generally, inventions falling into the following categories receive patent protection.
- New Machines and Devices: Newly invented machines, devices, or mechanisms. For example, a new electronic device or a machine design.

- Agriculture and Plant-Related Inventions: Innovative inventions in agriculture and plant fields, such as plant varieties, agricultural methods, plant breeding, and genetic modifications, receive patent protection.
These are just some examples, and inventions eligible for patent protection can span a wide range. However, the general requirements for patent protection are:
