Where Can You Search for Trademark Registration?

Trademark search checks whether a trademark has been previously applied for or is already registered. In Turkey, trademark searches are free through the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office's online database.

You can search for the following in this system:

• Is the trademark registered?
• Is it in the application stage?
• Has it been published?
• Who is the owner?
• In which classes is it registered?
• Its logo and similar trademarks

A trademark similarity search is the most important step to take before filing a trademark application. Similar trademarks increase the risk of your mark being rejected. This step must be done thoroughly. You should check not only for similar names but also for similar shapes, meaning whether there are similar logos.

3. Trademark Search via e-Government
